Last Sunday we attempted to snowshoe up to Mount Taylor with our firends Katy and Marlin. The trailhead, however, was about 5 miles up on a snowy road that proved too much even for an all-wheel drive car! We ended up digging out the car a couple of times before deciding to just enjoy our day and snowshoe around the area, which was quite nice even if it didn't have the vistas of Mount Taylor.
This is were a rabbit got picked up by a hawk, we think...
How do you eat lunch without going through the trouble of taking of your snowshoes? You recline like a Roman at a feast!
Katy and Marlin enjoying a few moments of well deserved rest.
